An Aussies View of Georgian Bay Beaches

We were fortunate enough a few weeks back to head out to a cottage that my cousins had rented about 2 hours north west of Toronto. It was on Georgian Bay, but actually felt like we were on a real beach - Georgian Bay is part of the great lakes system. Really beautiful and unspoilt area. Very much a place of summer homes, and lots of open space. The beaches were clean, and unspoilt. It was strange having fresh water instead of sea water...Something about the air! We didn't go swimming, was a bit to chilly for us, but my younger cousins who are under the age of 12 had a ball in the water. See photo's of Georgian Bay Beaches
