International Bird Migratory Day-Wye Marsh Midland Ontario

International Migratory Bird Day celebrates the incredible journeys of migratory birds between their breeding grounds in North America and their wintering grounds in Mexico, Central, and South America. The event, which takes place on the second Saturday in May each year, encourages bird conservation and increases awareness of birds through hikes, bird watching, information about birds and migration, public events, and a variety of other education programs. Join us in the celebration! Georgian Bay is a major travel corridor for migratory birds

The
Wye Marsh at Georgian Bay's south end is celebrationg the day with
bird indentification for the birds you find at your feeder, in the woods, or along the roadside? Come to Wye Marsh and witness the spring bird migration and learn some simple tips that will impress your friends during our Birding for Beginners workshop in the morning! Pack a lunch go for a stroll and in the afternoon make a recycled bird feeder from materials supplies by Wye Marsh.
